My Story & Who I Used To Be


In 2016, I quit my corporate sales job and with it, gave up my cushy salary, 401k, and security. For the first time in my life, I decided to pursue a career that aligned with my true passion – health & fitness. While I’ve spent time as a Personal Trainer, CrossFit Coach, and an NCAA Strength & Conditioning Coach, I ultimately chose Nutrition Coaching as my career, as I truly believe nothing moves the needle more, in terms of improving overall health and body composition than a sound nutritional protocol.

I believe this because I’ve lived it.

Growing up, I was the fat kid. I played Varsity sports in high school, worked out every day, yet didn’t have a body that reflected all my hard work. I experienced every negative emotion related to being unhappy with the way you look – shame, humiliation, self-consciousness, embarrassment. I dreaded and avoided situations in which I’d have to take off my shirt. I bounced from fat diet to fad diet, trying anything to lose weight; Paleo, Intermittent Fasting, Tupperware Meal Plan, Keto, Weight Watchers (yes, I did Weight Watchers when I was a Sophomore in college…talk about mortifying). But guess what? None of it worked and due to each diet’s restrictive nature, I ended up developing a deeper fear of, an unhealthy relationship with, food.

It wasn’t until I started tracking my macros, circa 2013, that I was finally able to lose the weight.  Tracking my macros has allowed me to take complete control of manipulating my weight and body composition, and do so while regularly eating the foods I love (and the foods I had previously demonized). It helped me regain trust in food, but more importantly, I learned to love and be proud of my body, for the first time, and now live a much fuller life because of it.

It is through my own transformation that I realized that one’s self-confidence and personal image are the two things that if improved upon, will have a domino effect in enhancing all aspects of one’s life. And this is my, ‘why?’

Unlike many nutrition coaches, I don’t believe in taking a restrictive or extreme approach to weight loss, as any results achieved that way will be fleeting. I prioritize my clients’ health, first and foremost, and want them looking and feeling their best for the next 10, 15, 40+ years – not crash dieting for instant gratification. Sustainability is everything.

The fact of the matter is, our lives revolve around food. From summer barbecues to business meetings, to holidays and family functions, it’s nearly impossible to find a social gathering not centered around food. There are a million ways to address it the right way and achieve success, none of which are a magic pill. My mission is to pay it forward, create impact, and help you live your best life.
